The standard of play at the Surrey Health & RC v Duffield was amazing.

Though the standard of officiating was not worthy of the 1,2 strings games played.

Officiating in important matches have to be seen, to do their best in whatever conditions they're presented with.

When the referees could have easily stood up, to see over the glass to the rear of the court and could not be bothered to do, is beyond belief.

It shows no commitment to the players or spectators, to make every effort to make the best calls possible.

Using the excuse of "I'm not standing is poor as it's unsafe is poor, considering between games, the officials did stand up in the same position they could have marked...!

It was an excuse to say the glass is the problem & be a get out clause to say blame that, instead of their poor standard of officiating.

If squash is to improve for viewers, tv or the olympics, then younger sharper minds, need to replace people, no longer fit enough to officiate high quality games like the PSL semi-finals.
